If you are looking for a bare bones website using basic html is the way to go. You can create a professional looking website with little or no extras. The site will be available for all users on all browsers. Basic html is fairly easy to use and learn. There are several tutorials that walk you through the process and will keep you on top of any additional developments. One of the biggest tips to keep in mind with standard html that every code needs a closing close. This is easy to forget and will cause your web document a lot of problems if it is not followed.

The website you can create with standard simple html will be a very minimal one. You can use graphics to work on adding excitement to the page but it will be unable to do many of the more advanced add ons such as flash or integration of social networking sites. If you obtain the correct applications you may be able to allow the website to do a bit more but it will still be limited to a very simple website. This is a great start for a website but with technology ever increasing it is recommended you quickly upgrade your site past simple html.
